About the Role: Remote Contact Center Chat Representative

As a Remote Contact Center Chat Representative at blithequark, you'll be the frontline representative for our members, addressing their needs through various channels, including chat, messaging, email, and phone. You'll be a one-stop shop for resolving a range of topics, from debit card issues to deposit account management. Your excellent grammar and writing skills, combined with a sales-oriented mindset, will enable you to provide exceptional service while cross-selling blithequark's products and services.

A Day in the Life: Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and effectively respond to member inquiries, resolving problems and assisting with transactions and lending inquiries through digital channels.
  • Provide support to ensure online membership applications are completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Engage with members on financial matters through multiple remote technology secured/unsecured access channels, showcasing your expertise in blithequark's online products and services.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of blithequark's products and services, including Online Banking, Bill Pay, Mobile Deposit, External Transfers, Online Account Opening, Mobile Banking, Chat, and Text Support.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing resolution on various topics and opening and closing deposit accounts of all types.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a customer service position, preferably in a financial services environment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong problem-solving and member service skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PPT.
  • Ability to meet the requirements for blithequark's Telecommuting Program, including a dedicated workspace, secure and strong internet connection, and a distraction-free environment.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience in a sales environment, with a proven track record of cross-selling and upselling.
  • Familiarity with financial services products and services, particularly those related to online banking and mobile banking.
  • Previous experience working in a remote or telecommuting environment.
