Customer Service Representative (Remote)
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Medicare Appeal process by providing exceptional service to our customers. This is a remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere.
Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for answering incoming telephone calls, resolving customer questions, complaints, and requests in accordance with internal policies and procedures. You will utilize your knowledge of our organization's services to meet productivity and quality standards, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of internal policies, procedures, and services to effectively address customer inquiries.
- Utilize automated systems to log and retrieve information, and perform accurate and timely data entry of electronic faxes.
- Respond to customer inquiries via telephone, email, fax, or mail, and communicate responses within required turnaround times.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues, escalating difficult situations to the appropriate party as needed.
- Meet or exceed standards for call volume and service level per department guidelines.
- Serve as a liaison between Review Supervisors and external providers, maintaining logs and documents related to incoming and outgoing calls.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of customer service experience in a call center environment, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and external customers.
- The ability to research and resolve issues related to Medicaid program and service eligibility.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are required.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experience are highly preferred:
- Previous experience in a medical office or other medical setting.
- Knowledge of eligibility verification, including Medicaid eligibility and program requirements.
- Familiarity with CPT and HCPCS codes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other Microsoft programs.
