About the Role: Customer Services Representative
We're on the lookout for a talented Customer Services Representative to join our rapidly expanding Transportation team at blithequark. As the first point of contact for our diverse community, you will play a pivotal role in delivering top-notch customer service, resolving issues, and upholding the high standards of excellence that blithequark is known for. The Opportunity
As a Customer Services Representative, you will be at the forefront of our customer service efforts, ensuring that every individual who interacts with blithequark feels valued and supported. Your role will be multifaceted, involving direct customer interaction, problem-solving, and collaboration with various teams to resolve issues and improve our services. You'll be an integral part of a team that takes pride in maintaining a positive and friendly work environment, always greeting our guests with a smile.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external customers, addressing their needs, offering solutions, and following up to ensure satisfaction.
- Identify, prioritize, and resolve problems and issues related to our service area, conducting research and collaborating with relevant departments as needed.
- Train, schedule, and prioritize the workloads of team members, ensuring timely completion of tasks and interpreting operating policies and procedures.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance tasks, including checking vehicle gates, picking up income from pay stations, and repairing signage.
- Assist with mobile duties, special events, and other related tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt.
- Maintain a professional demeanor, presenting oneself in line with the higher education environment and embodying blithequark's unifying values.
Essential Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 1 year of experience in a fast-paced customer service environment, with demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- A valid CA driver's license is mandatory, with participation in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Pull Notice System.

Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- 2 years of experience in a similar fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of excellent customer service.
- Experience in overseeing student, temporary, and/or resource workers.
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with hands-on experience in technology being a plus.
- Good analytical skills, with a keen attitude towards taking initiatives and working collaboratively in a team environment.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly rate range for this position is $18.86 - $20.00. blithequark considers a range of factors when determining compensation, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity, and external market considerations.
