Job Overview
As an IT Support Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing expert technical assistance to our crewmembers, both remotely and on-site. You will be the primary point of contact for all technical issues, and you will work closely with our internal and external resources to resolve problems efficiently. Your goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service, ensure timely resolution of issues, and maintain the highest level of technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for all blithequark equipment and applications, including communication and mobile devices
 - Offer outstanding on-site and remote customer service to blithequark crewmembers
 - Coordinate the resolution of incidents/requests from start to finish with internal and external resources
 - Monitor and support systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
 - Maintain and support client access, ensuring seamless connectivity and productivity
 - Collaborate with software package rollouts and support, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends
 - Work closely with all Data Innovation (IT) disciplines, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing
 - Aim to achieve first-contact resolution with all issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency
 - Maintain accurate documentation of requests, per blithequark standards, and update database documentation with the most critical information
 - Coordinate response for significant incidents and outages, ensuring prompt and effective resolution
 
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a combination of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The minimum requirements for this position include:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate
 - Experience supporting the latest operating systems or successful completion of IT for Everybody certification via Coursera
 - Experience implementing and supporting applications
 - Availability for short-term travel (up to 50%)
 - Possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of Jamaica and the US
 - Ability to obtain a valid visa to travel to the US
 - Experience using desktop configuration packages
 - Must be legally qualified to work in the country in which the position is located (note: this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship)
 
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
In addition to the minimum requirements, we prefer candidates with:
- Certifications (Microsoft, Networking, programming languages)
 - Knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server products
 - Knowledge of Exchange and Office Suite
 - Knowledge of LAN environment using TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
 - Knowledge of communication, messaging, and system (VOIP and POTS)
 - Knowledge of mobile devices
 - Knowledge of MDM solutions like Workspace ONE and Microsoft Intune
 - Knowledge of General media solutions
