**Job Summary**
As a Remote Medical Customer Service Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
* Reviewing and identifying issues from calls into the telephony system in a timely manner (50%)
* Maintaining a working knowledge of workflow systems to properly assign follow-up dates, department requests, and notate appropriately (10%)
* Ensuring all calls within business hours are answered and handled appropriately while providing exceptionally high customer service to callers within company guidelines (10%)
* Performing payment transactions and requesting payment from accounts reflecting a balance (10%)
* Assisting with clerical duties as needed, such as email and facsimile (10%)
* Requiring close supervision and guidance from the supervisor (10%)
**Essential Qualifications**
* 1+ years of medical revenue cycle experience
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Proficiency in workflow systems and software applications
**Preferred Qualifications**
* 2+ years of medical revenue cycle experience
* 1 year of call center or phone experience
* Experience working in a healthcare setting
* Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
* Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g., CPC, CMC)
