You will be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, which includes verifying and reverifying benefits, translating and entering in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and/or internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy * Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and reverifying benefits * Translate and enter in new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system * Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients * Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers * Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues * Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners * Ensure the processing of specialty medications in a timely manner and meet financial and clinical expectations prior to fulfillment **Essential Qualifications** * One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone * One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications * One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude * Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications** * Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology * Experience working in a fast-paced environment and demonstrating compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
