Job Overview
As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the frontline representative responding to phone inquiries from healthcare professionals and assisting them with the medication prior authorization process. This pivotal role requires excellent interpersonal and listening skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities
- Collect structured clinical data for prior authorization and non-formulary exception requests using online prior authorization tools and corresponding forms.
- Initial screening of requests based on guidance provided by online prior authorization tools, approving or referring requests as necessary.
- Independently respond to contacts ranging from routine to moderate complexity, seeking assistance when needed for more complex issues.
- Perform research to respond to inquiries, interpreting policy provisions to determine the most effective response using established departmental procedures, HIPAA regulations, and corporate policies.
- Deliver straightforward administrative and basic business services in Pharmacy Operations, ensuring seamless support to healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of call center experience, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy-related environment.
- Prior work-from-home experience, with a reliable high-speed broadband internet connection (10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload) and a quiet, private workspace.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively and efficiently with healthcare professionals.
- Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of Windows operating systems, with the ability to navigate multiple screens and applications.
- Flexibility to work any schedule between 8:00 am - 9:00 pm Eastern time, Monday through Friday, with a commitment to 100% attendance during training and beyond.

- Prior medical or pharmacy knowledge, with an understanding of healthcare industry nuances.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
