About the position Responsibilities • Drive the creation, improvement, and adoption of Converse's data products. • Deliver scalable analytics solutions that create business value for the Converse Direct organization. • Work with the Data Engineering squad to ensure data products are integrated into the existing data architecture. • Communicate the vision to stakeholders and help drive self-service analytics across the organization. • Contribute to the analytics product roadmap, highlighting risks and dependencies. • Own, maintain, and prioritize the data engineering product backlog. • Facilitate requirements gathering and scoping exercises, define acceptance criteria, and ensure capacity for the right work at the right time. • Ensure the readiness of the work, accept or reject work results, and align work to fiscal year priorities and internal data management standards. • Prioritize and make trade-offs based on understanding of strategies, epics, enabler requirements, defects, dependent teams, goals, and the value features and stories bring to customers and the business. • Assist in removing roadblocks for the data engineering squad. • Ensure all stories are supported, clear, and delivered in high quality. • Understand customer satisfaction and adoption of data products, providing suggestions for improvements. • Build and maintain end user documentation to support data governance initiatives. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training. • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience. • Experience working with analytic tools and languages such as Tableau, Sigma, SQL, R, VBA, Python, etc. • Experience working with large data sets and complex data models; business analytics background preferred. • Intermediate SQL knowledge required. • Experience working closely with a team of data engineers and managing relationships with business partners. • Understanding Agile principles and methodologies and how they're applied. • Ability to solve complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions. • Ability to respond to and prioritize changing demands and work independently through ambiguity. • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally. • Passion for contributing to a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging.
