The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Test Prep Tutor/Teacher to join our team in New Canaan, CT. As a Tutor, you'll have the opportunity to work with students in a one-on-one setting, providing personalized guidance and support to help them achieve their academic goals. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to set your hours and caseload, and provides a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one test preparation services to students in their homes or online, focusing on SAT and ACT exams
• Develop and implement customized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student
• Utilize effective pedagogical strategies to engage students and promote academic success
• Stay up-to-date with changes to the SAT and ACT exams, as well as best practices in test preparation
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
• Participate in paid training and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Student-centered disposition with a passion for education and a desire to help students succeed
• Responsible and responsive work ethic, with flexibility for student schedule changes
• Access to reliable transportation and willingness to travel to students' homes (up to 30 minutes)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching or tutoring experience, particularly with students with Learning Differences
• Experience with test preparation and/or education technology
• Familiarity with the SAT and ACT exams, as well as their respective formats and content
