About the Role

We are seeking passionate and experienced teachers to join our team as Fall 2023 Teacher Tutors. Key Responsibilities

• Provide virtual, small-group instruction to K-12 students in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics
• Utilize online platforms, such as Google Classroom and Zoom, to deliver high-quality tutoring sessions
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
• Collaborate with our team to identify areas where students require additional support and develop strategies to address these needs
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in virtual tutoring

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Experience as a US teacher, with a strong background in teaching K-12 English Language Arts and/or Mathematics
• Proven experience in teaching in an online environment, with a working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom
• Dedication to advancing equity in schools and a passion for supporting students from diverse backgrounds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

Bonus points will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Remediation, intervention, or small group instruction
• SPED or ELL teaching
• AP course experience (any APs)

What We Offer

In return for your dedication and hard work, we offer a competitive compensation package that includes:

• A hourly rate of $36.00 per hour of tutoring (on a prorated basis), plus a 10% bonus for light preparation
