As an IT Project Management Specialist with our team, you'll play a critical role in driving our IT projects forward, leveraging your expertise in project management, procurement, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Partner with management to deliver assigned tasks and guide the team to meet customer and department needs, ensuring that project objectives are met and stakeholders are satisfied.
- Best Practices and Process Improvement: Share best practices within the IT Governance Team and department, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Requirements Gathering and Stakeholder Management: Gather, document, and obtain stakeholder approval for requirements, ensuring that project scope and timelines are agreed upon and met.
- Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and coordinate project schedules and resources, driving tasks to completion according to the project schedule and providing regular updates on project status, issues, and risks.
- Conflict Resolution and Escalation: Serve as an escalation point for conflict and issue resolution, leveraging your negotiation and problem-solving skills to resolve disputes and ensure project continuity.
- Procurement and Vendor Management: Coordinate procurement activities with stakeholders, maintaining communication and relationships with service providers to ensure seamless project execution.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in IT project management, procurement, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience leading IT projects in a PMO environment, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- PMP certification, which is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of manufacturing information systems and project methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall.
- Advanced skills with project management software, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project, and IT vendor management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Experience working with diverse and geographically dispersed teams, with a proven ability to collaborate and lead teams in a remote environment.
- A highly organized and detail-oriented approach to work, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
