We're now seeking highly motivated and compassionate individuals to join our Donor Contact Services team as Seasonal Customer Service Representatives, working remotely from within the Mountain Time Zone.

About the Role

This is a seasonal, full-time opportunity that will run from October 21st to December 31st. As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative, you will be the key liaison between blithequark and our donors, providing top-notch customer service and support for our various programs, including disaster relief, education, health, and clean water initiatives. You'll be an integral part of our Gift Catalog team, helping donors make informed decisions about their charitable giving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a comprehensive, approximately 3-week paid Training Program to gain a deep understanding of blithequark's mission, values, and programs, as well as develop the skills necessary to excel in this role.
  • Respond to inbound calls and make outbound calls to current and potential donors, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor information, utilizing data entry and ten-key skills.
  • Achieve and maintain individual statistics to meet Call Center business goals, while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism.
  • Conduct research and respond to donor inquiries, utilizing a variety of resource materials and methods.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of blithequark's programs and initiatives, effectively communicating this information to donors.
  • Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and a passion for sharing God's love with others, while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, accepting constructive feedback and instruction, and demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining awareness of corporate goals, objectives, and policies.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • High school graduate/GED or equivalent.
  • Basic routine work experience.
  • Minimum typing speed of 20 wpm.
  • Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection (minimum download speed of 25 mbps and upload speed of 6 mbps).

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Minimum of 1-year previous customer service/sales work experience or call center experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proper grammar and composition.
  • Ability to remain composed under challenging situations, maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Innovative thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Willingness to accept constructive feedback and instruction.
  • Prior experience using Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Word, Teams) and ability to learn new software platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $16.56 - $23.06 per hour, with a typical hiring range of $19 to $21 per hour, depending on relevant job qualifications, geographic location, and pay equity. While this is a seasonal position without benefits, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others and gain valuable experience in customer service and call center operations.
