Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining policy coverage, claim status, and assisting with claim payments or other policy information to policyholders and/or interested third parties.
- Handle a high volume of phone calls, correspondence, and emails from policyholders, providers, and other stakeholders, responding promptly and professionally to their inquiries.
- Review and maintain new and revised procedures regarding policy information, ensuring that you stay up-to-date on the latest developments and can provide accurate guidance to customers.
- Maintain department standards for number of calls, average handle time, and time management, ensuring that you meet productivity and quality expectations.
- Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, analyzing situations, and making logical conclusions to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed as a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; some college education is preferred.
- At least one year of office experience, preferably in a customer-facing role; telecommunications experience is a plus.
- A background in Life and Health insurance is desirable, as is knowledge of insurance operations.
- Excellent communication, both written and oral, and organization skills.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information with discretion.
- Strong alpha and number recognition skills, as well as demonstrated mathematical abilities.
- Basic PC skills and the ability to type at least 30 words per minute.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling high-stress situations calmly and with tact and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications

- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) can be beneficial, with a pay differential available for eligible candidates.
