Job Summary

As a Senior Data Engineer at Blithequark, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data architectures and pipelines that support our business intelligence and analytics needs. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including data scientists, product managers, and business leaders, to understand requirements, develop solutions, and ensure seamless data integration across multiple systems. Your expertise in data engineering, cloud computing, and data analytics will enable us to drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and make data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data architectures and pipelines to integrate, process, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to understand requirements, develop solutions, and ensure seamless data integration across multiple systems.
  • Write ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real-time and offline analytical processing.
  • Work with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) to design and optimize data pipelines, and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
  • Investigate current data technology conditions to identify and assess critical capabilities, and recommend solutions to optimize data management and analytics.
  • Explore and evaluate new tools and technologies to determine optimal solutions for specific use cases and business requirements.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems and pipelines.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing large-scale data architectures and pipelines.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL and database management systems.
  • 5+ years of experience with Python or other programming languages used for data engineering.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and data analytics tools.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark.
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry data and regulations.
  • Experience with data science tools and technologies (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
