About the Role: Entry-Level Financial Advisor

We're seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to fill an entry-level financial advisor position that offers a promising career trajectory and opportunities for growth. As a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, providing tailored financial solutions, and driving business growth through proactive prospecting and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create customized financial plans for clients based on their life stage, professional circumstances, and fluctuating financial needs
  • Gather and assess clients' financial information to accurately determine their financial status, cash flow, monetary expectations, and financial goals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for new clients acquired through proactive measures to seek, identify, and establish prospects
  • Support clients' progress toward their financial goals through strategic product, plan, and investment recommendations
  • Collaborate with the Management Team to communicate clients' needs and stay up-to-date on industry developments
  • Maintain a client book and ensure timely follow-up with clients to review their financial plans and provide ongoing support

Essential Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong foundation in financial planning, wealth management, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, financial planning software, Google Suite, and other tools
  • Excellent communication and math skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • A proven track record of building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • A working knowledge of financial products, the financial industry, and personal financial advisor responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • A strong understanding of financial planning, wealth management, and investment products
