Organ Donation Coordinator - Idaho Falls/ Pocatello
                                About the position
Responsibilities
• Complete on-call functions for organ recovery.
• Responsible for the allocation, recovery, preservation, packaging, and transportation of organs for research and transplant.
• Respond to referrals and adhere to regulatory requirements.
• Complete documentation related to organ donation.
• Meet donor family needs and manage donor cases.
• Complete case follow-up tasks and referral documentation.
• Prepare personal expense reports and other administrative tasks as necessary.
Requirements
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse or have a minimum of 5 years prior experience working as a clinical donation coordinator at an OPO.
• Completion of NATCO introductory course within one year of hire.
• Successful completion of CPTC after one year and before two years of hire.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a critical care nurse and/or a minimum of 5 years prior experience as a clinical donation coordinator at an OPO.

• Ability to work well with all levels of personnel in hospital settings.
• Willingness to train and assist others.
• Exposure to patient elements including communicable disease, bloodborne pathogens, and other common hazards of a clinical setting.
• Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions.
