Instructional Designer / Learning & Development Specialist
Job Title: Instructional Designer / Learning & Development Specialist Location: 100% Remote (Candidates from MD, DC, VA, WV preferred; occasional onsite may be required) Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Instructional Designer / L&D Specialist with at least 5 years of experience in developing innovative and engaging learning solutions. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering instructional content, eLearning modules, and training programs that align with organizational goals. The role requires expertise in adult learning theories, eLearning tools, and instructional design principles, with a strong focus on end-to-end training development. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deliver training content including eLearning courses, instructional videos, multimedia training materials, presentations, and guides. • Create engaging learning products using the latest instructional design principles. • Apply adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies to ensure effective training delivery. • Conduct needs assessments and identify training opportunities to support business requirements. • Manage virtual and classroom training sessions for audiences ranging from 15 to 300 participants. • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to create impactful training programs that address enrollment, benefits, and claims processing. • Ensure training content supports process changes and aligns with organizational updates. • Utilize eLearning and video authoring tools to create high-quality instructional materials. • Own the end-to-end instructional design process. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer, Trainer, or Learning & Development Specialist. • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and eLearning methodologies. • Hands-on expertise with Articulate 360, Storyline, Adobe Captivate (transitioning away), and Adobe Creative Suite. • Experience developing eLearning modules, instructional videos, and course design documents. • Strong facilitation and presentation skills for both virtual and in-person training. • Ability to create multimedia training assets (guides, images, archives, presentations). • Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple priorities. • Experience in healthcare, enrollment, benefits, or claims processing is a plus. Education • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technology, or Communication (Required). • Master’s Degree in related field (Preferred). Apply tot his job
