Join Disney's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team as a Commerce Operations Manager, Sports, and play a critical role in shaping the future of streaming services. We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the payment infrastructure and enable the sale of subscription plans across our portfolio of products, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and the Disney Bundle. As a key member of our Commerce Operations team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch and manage commerce-related product features and sales, primarily for ESPN+ and other streaming services.

About Disney's Direct-to-Consumer Team

Disney's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team is responsible for overseeing the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within the Disney Entertainment segment. Our mission is to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. The Business Operations function plays a critical role in operating the growing Disney Direct-to-Consumer organization, including strategic solution design, planning, program management, and execution of major business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Launch and Manage Commerce-Related Product Features and Sales: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully launch and manage commerce-related product features and sales, primarily for ESPN+ and other streaming services like Disney+ and Hulu.
  • Planning and Execution: Plan and execute sales initiatives, product launches, manage pricing changes, and develop customer messaging, while ensuring alignment with business and commercial strategies.
  • Technical Configuration: Oversee the technical configuration of sign-up processes, troubleshooting, and configuring complex offer use cases, alongside maintaining documentation such as JIRA tickets and financial trackers.
  • Input on Commerce Tools: Provide input on improving commerce tools, support operational launches, and participate in strategic meetings to gather requirements and plan for future capacity needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with technical stakeholders in Product and Engineering, as well as internal teams in Marketing, Commerce, Customer Service, Legal, Finance, Enterprise Consumer Payments, and Product.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in business operations, account management, project management, or a similar field.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized self-starter with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven project management skills with a track record of launching commercial projects at scale.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Google Office Suite, especially Google Slides, with expertise in crafting professional data visualizations, processes, and information.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across disciplines.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong oral and written communication, along with effective problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Digital Subscription Business Experience: Digital subscription business and/or sports & entertainment industry experience a plus.
  • Commerce or Payment-Related Experience: Commerce or payment-related experience preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.

Work Environment and Company Culture

  • Location: Based in New York City, available to work in-office up to 4 days a week, with flexible hours for critical launch events.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $108,500 to $145,400 per year.
  • Bonus and Long-Term Incentive Units: A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package.
