Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Mobile Software Development Test Engineer to join our Wireless Software Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for qualifying wireless functionality and software for the latest iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch product lines. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test wireless connectivity solutions, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more, to ensure seamless customer experiences with Apple products and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and product management, to develop and implement wireless solutions that meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
• Conduct thorough testing and analysis of mobile technologies, including 5G, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, and IMS, to identify and resolve issues, and optimize performance.
• Develop and maintain testable code, automation tools, test suites, and test execution and configuration to ensure the highest quality releases.
• Work closely with remote teammates to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and issue resolution, and lead global teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
• Provide detailed analysis and reporting of test results, including MTBF problems, performance, AC, 5G, VoLTE, SRVCC, CSFB, crashes, resets, and panics, to inform product development and improvement.

Essential Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in testing mobile technologies, including 5G, LTE, UMTS, CDMA, and IMS.
• Outstanding experience in analyzing MTBF problems, performance, AC, 5G, VoLTE, SRVCC, CSFB, crashes, resets, and panics.
• Good understanding of writing testable code and MTBF/stability testing, automation tools, test suites, test execution, and configuration.
• Modem contact from initial development to maintenance, with a strong understanding of wireless connectivity technologies and protocols.
• Ability to work effectively with remote teammates, with excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Good attention to detail, strong writing and interpersonal skills, with experience leading global teams and managing complex projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with a strong foundation in software development, testing, and wireless connectivity.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, version control systems, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Knowledge of programming languages, including C, C++, Java, Python, and Swift, with experience in developing and testing mobile applications.
• Familiarity with wireless connectivity protocols, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, with experience in testing and optimizing wireless performance.
