Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team as a Virtual Assistant and Client Support Specialist. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our clients, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues they may have. Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer friendly support to and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external clients
  • Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of our organization
  • Be accountable for providing unbelievable client support to individuals seeking to travel, use freight or baggage services by handling their needs
  • Handle any aspect of ticketing and check-in by operating a computerized retail system, boarding, baggage services, reservations, and resolving related complaints and issues
  • Responsibilities include greeting and handling clients in a respectful and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, travel vouchers, and coupons as forms of payment for tickets
  • Process charges, make change, and balance daily transactions, being responsible for overage or shortage
  • Check in baggage and freight, answer phone calls to provide information to guests, page clients, resolve issues or complaints, and assist as needed
  • Handle transactions required to board the aircraft in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage upset clients due to oversells, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, resolving such issues quickly and within guidelines set by the organization
  • Provide current and accurate fare, schedule, reservations, flight arrival/departure information, and answer general questions from clients and other visitors to the airport
  • Complete forms and reports as required by the organization
  • Organize anomaly and complaint reports as necessary
  • Responsibilities may vary due to the size and organization of the station
  • Must be able to meet any physical capacity requirements listed on this description
  • May perform other work duties as directed by Supervisor's Managers

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to type or use a computer keyboard with adequate speed to meet the needs of the job
  • Able to understand documents, follow instructions, learn and understand ticketing procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team, meet the public, and work under stressful conditions
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete Customer Service Specialist training program with an 80% or greater average and a probationary period
  • Awareness of hazardous situations and ability to handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis
  • Must work under close time constraints to achieve quick turns of aircraft
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Ground Operations Representative Handbook and Work Agreement
  • Must be able to perform all job functions within a limited space
  • Must be able to communicate verbally by phone, in person, and on public address systems effectively
  • Must have good written and oral skills
  • Must be able to convey information and instructions verbally or via radio equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service or a related field
  • Knowledge of the airline industry or a similar field
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
