Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Remote Medical Benefits Specialist to join our client's team. As a Remote Medical Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting outbound calls to insurance companies to verify patient benefits and coverage, investigating and resolving benefit-related issues and discrepancies, communicating with patients to explain their benefits, and maintaining accurate records of benefit investigations in the system. This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary of $17/hr and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outbound calls to insurance companies to verify patient benefits and coverage.
  • Investigate and resolve benefit-related issues and discrepancies.
  • Communicate with patients to explain their benefits and ensure smooth access to care.
  • Maintain accurate records of benefit investigations in the system.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve complex benefit issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry developments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in medical benefits investigation or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of health insurance plans and coverage.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a call center or customer service environment.
