Job Summary
As a Technical Bolter, you will be responsible for executing technical bolting and joint integrity services in accordance with approved site and company procedures. You will be an integral part of our team, working on client work sites and performing a range of duties to ensure the highest level of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns.
- Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values and 7 critical choices.
- Conducts planning, break-out, assembly, and inspection, and fault and leak diagnosis.
- Maintains reporting and documentation of technical bolting services activities as required.
- Performs technical bolting services on client work sites, including:
- P&ID review and equipment identification.
- Torque with clicker wrenches and hydraulic torque wrenches.
- Stud tensioning.
- Bolt measuring (ultrasonic).
- Hydraulic nut splitting.
- Bolt calculations of pre-load.
- Joint integrity reporting.
- Visual positive material identification on bolted flange joint components.
- Flange Identification and damage mechanisms.
- Joint Criticality Assessment.
- Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical school or relevant training.
- Two (2) years of industry-related experience.
- Recent military service with mechanical, instrument, or electrical training.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
- The ability to walk and climb, except when performing non-field duties.
- Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
- Sufficient vision or other powers of observation to perform investigations.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to perform routine office duties.
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded:
- Additional technical training or certifications.
- Experience working in a similar industry or role.
- A strong understanding of asset integrity solutions and technical bolting services.
