Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inbound calls from government clients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Document details of conversations, including customer information and issue resolution
  • Utilize scripts and resources to guide conversations and provide accurate and efficient information
  • Proficiently use online reference materials related to the program to provide confident and accurate information
  • Effectively and efficiently use technical systems, including desktop, call center-specific phone systems, and the internet
  • Meet department quality assurance standards and metrics
  • Educate and answer questions from customers, providing the most up-to-date information about the program
  • Follow protocol and apply sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information

Requirements and Qualifications:

Must-Have (Required):

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications
  • Ability to pass language knowledge assessment
  • Strong and reliable private internet connection, not supplied by cellular data, with the ability to hardwire via ethernet cable

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Bilingual or Multilingual
  • Previous experience as a Customer Service Representative
  • Previously cleared for a Public Trust Entry of Duty Clearance Level (Government Clients Only)
  • Licenses in Insurance, Healthcare, and/or Finance sectors
  • Previous experience with FEMA Call Center
