Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Tutor to provide academic support to students in need. In this 15-hour-per-week position, you'll work closely with our team to deliver high-quality tutoring services that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your passion for education, patience, and ability to connect with students of varying abilities will make you a valuable asset to our team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Tutor at TES, your primary responsibilities will include: * Providing one-on-one tutoring in English-language arts and mathematics, as well as homework assistance to students at risk of not meeting grade-level performance * Monitoring and reporting progress to parents, teachers, program managers, and other stakeholders involved in the academic success of our clients * Performing various clerical duties related to tutoring services, such as maintaining records and communicating with students and parents * Collaborating with our team to develop and implement effective tutoring plans that meet the unique needs of each student * Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in education and tutoring

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you'll need to meet the following minimum qualifications: * Experience working in a school, classroom, or after-school setting * Hold appropriate automobile insurance with limits that allow driving a personal vehicle for work (25/50k liability coverage) * Must clear a current background check through the FBI and DOJ * A current TB Test (within the last 6 months) Preferred qualifications include: * Bachelor's Degree with one year of related experience * Associate's degree with 2 years of related experience * 48 completed college units with 3 years of related experience * Training in trauma-informed/responsive education * Experience working with individuals with special needs * Bilingual in English/Spanish

Work Environment and Physical Demands

As a Tutor at TES, you'll work in a variety of settings, including schools, homes, clinics, and community facilities. The work environment may comprise several adults and children in a classroom, clinic, or campus facility, with supervisors traveling to multiple sites/clinics. You may encounter noise levels that are moderate to loud, and the job functions may include physical demands such as: * Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling * Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
