About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Online Instructor - Geography to teach courses in the Division of Business, Social Sciences and History. As an adjunct faculty member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them achieve their academic goals. Key Responsibilities
- Teach online courses in geography, including developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback and support
- Support the institution's mission and vision, and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies
- Maintain currency in the teaching discipline and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in geography and online education
- Report directly to the academic program manager and/or department chair within the Division of Business, Social Sciences and History
- Teach in the evening, weekends, online, and dual enrollment courses as needed
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and other college events to contribute to the growth and development of the institution
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in geography or master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in geography
- Geography-based anthropology courses are accepted
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous online teaching experience
- Certifications in online teaching
- Experience with learning management systems and online educational platforms
