Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional service, and we're looking for like-minded individuals to join our Airport Operations Crew. **Job Summary** As an Airport Operations Crew member, you'll be the face of blithequark, providing top-notch customer service to our passengers at airports across the USA. You'll be responsible for checking in and confirming passengers' identification, handling baggage, booking and checking flight reservations, and ensuring a smooth and efficient airport experience. If you're a people person with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you. **Key Responsibilities** * Check passengers' identification and confirm their travel documents * Handle baggage, including labeling, lifting, and transporting * Report flight arrivals, departures, and pre-boarding data through our public location framework * Provide exceptional customer service, responding to passengers' queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner * Offer additional services to passengers, such as "more speed" and "more space" * Coordinate with colleagues and other departments to ensure seamless customer experiences * Assist with planning airplane seating for takeoff and loading, including cleaning seats, seat-pockets, and floors * Operate airport equipment, including client enplaning/deplaning equipment such as jetways, stairs, and more * Help passengers with special requirements, such as those who need assistance with boarding * Perform and pivot through all airport operations-related tasks (check-in, ticket counter, etc.) * Other duties as assigned **Essential Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent (GED) * At least 18 years of age * One year of customer service or sales experience * Strong interpersonal and listening skills * Proficient in written and spoken English * Ability to complete a customer service evaluation * Familiarity with blithequark's Uniform Policy Manual Principles * Willingness to travel and work variable hours, including weekends and holidays * Experience using a mouse, PC, keyboard, and basic word processing, email, and office applications * Ability to use handheld radios and receivers to communicate with colleagues and make terminal announcements * Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) ID * Experience performing under pressure and meeting tight deadlines * Depending on location, may be required to have and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets blithequark's safety guidelines * Depending on location, may be required to obtain and maintain a US Customs Permit * Available for occasional short-term travel (10%) * Legally qualified to work in the country where the position is located * Eligibility to work in the US is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship * Pass a pre-employment drug test **Preferred Qualifications** * Two years of customer service, volunteer, or sales experience * Knowledge of customer service standards and practices * Experience working with different types of payment (cash, credit cards, traveler's checks, etc.) * Past airline experience * Bilingual abilities **Crewmember Expectations** * Regular attendance and reliability * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and short-term shifts * Willingness to make occasional trips to different locations for training or brief assignments * Ability to maintain a professional appearance * While working or traveling on blithequark flights, and when time allows, all able crew members are expected to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft * Familiarity with and adherence to blithequark's culture, values, and policies, including Wellbeing, Mindfulness, Respect, Energy, and Fun * Support blithequark's #1 value of safety as a Wellbeing Ambassador, promoting blithequark's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Strategy, and social norms * Identify and report any health or safety concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards that should be reported and report them promptly and without hesitation using blithequark's private reporting systems (Aviation Health Activity Program (pronto) or Security Activity Report (SAR)) * Compliance with all relevant regulations, guidelines (FAA, OSHA, etc.), and blithequark policies, procedures, and risk controls * Maintenance of blithequark's safety performance metric objectives and understanding how they relate to their responsibilities and obligations **Equipment** * PC and other office equipment * Public location framework * Jetway and air stairs (client enplaning/deplaning equipment) * Handheld radios * Unattended PC booths used to recognize and handle client reservations * Light Emitting Diode (LED) screens and signs **Workplace** * Airport environment * Exposure to climate and raised noise levels within airports * Ability to stand for extended periods * Occasional requirement to cover unpredictable tasks that sometimes result in extended workdays **Physical Exertion** * Moderate physical exertion expected by handling items up to 50 pounds regularly or 70-100 pounds occasionally with the help of others or equipment. **Remuneration** The base salary for this position begins at $15.00.
