About the Role: Data Center Technician for Advanced Data Entry
We're seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to join our team at blithequark. As a Data Center Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include installing, upgrading, and maintaining our data center equipment, as well as providing technical support to our teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Enable a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspects of data center activities, ensuring a secure and healthy work environment.
 - Establish and improve strong working relationships with various internal teams and external vendors to facilitate effective collaboration and communication.
 - Understand and navigate the overall ticket management process to ensure timely resolution of issues.
 - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as power cycles, replacing failed parts, handling storage media, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
 - Carry out cable installations, equipment rack/stack installations, testing, and troubleshooting using standard data center processes.
 - Physically assist with moving and racking equipment, supporting the deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure including servers, network switches, and storage devices.
 - Assist the data center inventory and asset management team with shipping/receiving and stock management to support high work volumes.
 - Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success in a fast-paced environment.
 - Assess and prioritize work demands, provide planning detail, and aid in the prioritization and coordination of service delivery for data center operations teams.
 - Be flexible and available to work non-business hours (shifts) that may include weekends and/or holidays, ensuring 24/7 operations.
 - Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and facial masks in various conditions with varying temperatures.
 
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, demonstrating a solid educational foundation.
 - Experience working with macOS, iPadOS, and Windows operating systems, showcasing versatility and adaptability.
 - The ability to support continuous standing, walking, lifting, and working at levels, highlighting physical stamina and flexibility.
 - A minimum of 2 years of related IT experience, providing a basis for understanding IT infrastructure and operations.
 - Technical certifications such as ITF+, A+, Server+, BICSI Installer I, or related insight, underscoring technical competence.
 - The capacity to work (with precise hydrations) inside a data center climate normally inside the intensity scope of 79 degrees Fahrenheit to as many as 105 degrees Fahrenheit, indicating resilience.
 - Availability to work after typical business hours to answer and resolve pressing business issues, showing commitment and flexibility.

 - The capacity to take course with negligible heading, demonstrating independence and self-motivation.
