Clinical Operations at Curai Health

The clinical team at Curai Health utilizes AI-empowered electronic records to deliver both urgent and primary care to our patients. These visits can range from condition-based consultations to requests for primary care services, with most medical care provided through asynchronous or synchronous chat with a provider. Video visits are also available as needed. Currently, we are seeking Family Practice Physicians who can attend to both adult and pediatric patients. Given our 24/7 operation, we are looking for flexible clinicians who can meet the diverse needs of our patients.

Job Overview

We are specifically looking for Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine physicians who are comfortable treating both adults and pediatrics. Active state licenses in CA, TX, and FL (with a requirement of at least two of these three) are necessary, and licenses in IN, MI, MS, GA, TN, and OK are considered a plus. The ideal candidate will be available for a fixed schedule from 6 pm to 6 am Pacific time on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights.

Key Responsibilities

A typical night for a Curai Physician involves:

  • Attending to acute/urgent care patients through our live text-based chat clinic, including straightforward chronic care cases that require refills.
  • Allocating 90% of your time to clinical tasks and 10% to administrative duties, which include clinical meetings, EHR/automation product feedback projects, and clinical operations quality improvement initiatives.
  • Accurately diagnosing patients using detailed history-taking and providing evidence-based treatment recommendations.
  • Writing efficient and clear encounter visit notes that demonstrate strong medical decision-making skills, differential diagnoses, and a well-structured care plan.
  • Closing all notes optimally by the end of the encounter or shift.
  • Collaborating with the AI/ML in the EHR to enhance the machine's ability to support clinical decision-making.
  • Providing feedback to the AI/ML and product teams on features that can improve provider efficiency and accuracy.
  • Staying updated on EHR feature updates through continuous training and remaining current on the platform.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Be board-certified in Family Medicine with the ability to treat pediatric patients.
  • Have prior experience in telemedicine.
  • Hold an active license in CA, TX, FL (at least two of these three), and preferably in IN, MI, MS, GA, TN, and OK.
  • Have a clear medical history with no board actions or complaints.
  • Possess 1+ years of telemedicine experience.
  • Demonstrate digital savviness, excellent typing skills, grammatical construction, and command of English.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills to ensure a professional and meaningful patient experience.
  • Be proficient in English, with Spanish fluency being an added advantage.
  • Have startup experience in healthcare, which is considered a plus.
