Job Overview: Pharmacy Technician Data Entry and Customer Service
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician Data Entry and Customer Service professional. In this role, you will be responsible for performing order entry tasks, collaborating with other team members in the medication dispensing process, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and customers. As a key member of our front-end team, you will work closely with our pharmacists to ensure accuracy and efficiency in our closed-door pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform order entry tasks and collaborate with other team members in the medication dispensing process
- Triage customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
- Calculate and/or verify correct dosage based on prescriptions
- Assist in reviewing narcotic Rx's to ensure timely processing
- Provide dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items that the computer flags
- Create and maintain accurate customer records
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Certification, licensure, or registration as a pharmacy technician, or as required by state law
- One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or working in a call center
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Prior experience in the long-term care industry
- PTCB National Certification
- Education beyond high school, such as a degree in a related field

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:
