About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate the Pharmacy team to achieve exceptional patient care and service standards
• Ensure the pharmacy service is organised and running smoothly, with efficient workflows and effective resource allocation
• Provide support and assistance to pharmacists, technicians, and dispensers as needed, promoting a collaborative and inclusive team environment
• Deliver excellent patient care, providing guidance and advice on medication and health-related matters
• Handle errors and complaints effectively, maintaining high standards of patient safety and satisfaction
• Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, service quality, and team performance
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote integrated care and improve patient experiences
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice, attending training and development opportunities as required

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• MPharm, BPharm, or equivalent qualification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
• Proven post-qualification experience working in a pharmacy environment, with a strong understanding of pharmacy operations and management
• Ability to work flexibly, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and services

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a pharmacy management or leadership role, with a proven track record of success
• Additional qualifications or certifications in pharmacy management, leadership, or a related field
• Experience of working in a community pharmacy setting, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges of this environment
