Role Description As a Specialist on the Portfolio Resource Forecasting team within our Company's Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO), you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing critical data flows that support strategic resourcing decisions for our global clinical trials. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a complex SQL Developer database that underpins resource demand forecasting, time actuals tracking, and supply management. Your work will directly impact the accuracy and timeliness of resource allocation across our company's clinical study portfolio, enabling informed decision-making and operational excellence. • Data Management & Forecasting: • Manage and maintain a comprehensive SQL Developer database that stores vital resource demand, time actuals, supply data, and resource breakdown structures. • Oversee the regular ingestion and processing of large-scale resource forecast data exported from Planisware, handling multiple CSV files containing extensive records. • Develop, execute, and optimize precise SQL queries to clean, prepare, and validate forecast data, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. • Support the creation and continuous improvement of Power BI dashboards that provide real-time visibility into resource forecasts for stakeholders across our research lab teams, and Finance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine reporting deliverables, enabling proactive resource management, budget adjustments, and headcount planning. • Global Time Tracking (GTT) Functional Area Representative: • Serve as the primary contact for the GTT RPM mailbox, managing daily communications related to Global Clinical Development (GCD) time tracking issues, questions, and updates. • Monitor and update multiple key trackers daily, ensuring accurate and up-to-date time actuals data. • Maintain close coordination with the SERMES myLearning group to support regional tracker updates. • Continuously improve tracking tools and processes to reduce email traffic and enhance data update efficiency. • Stakeholder Support & Continuous Improvement: • Respond promptly and accurately to frequent ad-hoc requests from stakeholders across the organization. • Lead ongoing enhancements to Power BI dashboards to deliver the most relevant, actionable insights for resource forecasting and clinical trial operations. • Ensure the smooth operation of clinical trial resourcing by preventing bottlenecks through timely and accurate data management. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required • Minimum of 2 years business analytical experience • Proven experience managing large-scale SQL databases and writing complex SQL queries with a high degree of accuracy. • Experience working with large datasets and data ingestion from multiple sources (e.g., CSV files, Planisware). • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity. Preferred Qualifications • Proficiency in Power BI dashboard development and maintenance. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple trackers and communication channels simultaneously. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. • Prior experience in clinical trial operations or pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable. • Familiarity with resource forecasting, time tracking systems, and clinical portfolio management is a plus. Salary and Benefits The salary range for this role is $77,700.00 - $122,300.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
