About the Role of an Azure Customer Engineer at blithequark
We are seeking an experienced Azure Customer Engineer with a passion for deploying or supporting cloud services and knowledge of usage patterns for these services. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, curious, and thrives in an inclusive, collaborative global team. As an Azure Customer Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in redefining support and supportability, closely monitoring and responding to customer questions, and representing blithequark and Azure Engineering in these interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Azure customers through various modalities as part of a global support delivery team, ensuring timely and effective resolutions to customer inquiries and issues.
 - Demonstrate technical depth across Azure services (at least level 200-300), actively seeking solutions to customer needs and communicating trends to leadership to drive continuous improvement.
 - Turn Azure customers into Azure fans by improving support efficiency, identifying opportunities to optimize existing processes and tools, and implementing changes that enhance the customer experience.
 - Build close working relationships with teams related to assigned service areas, leveraging these connections for escalations and driving product improvements that meet customer needs.
 - Contribute to the development and updating of Azure product documentation, ensuring that customers have access to comprehensive resources to deliver solutions on Azure effectively.
 - Collaborate with feature engineering teams to report bugs, expedite bug fixes, and bubble up feature requests, ensuring that customer feedback is integrated into the product development cycle.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
Essential Qualifications
- 1+ year(s) of software industry experience related to technology, or equivalent experience.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, combined with 2+ years of experience in the software industry related to technology, or equivalent experience.
 - 1+ year(s) of customer-facing experience, demonstrating an ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
 - Experience in one or more automation languages (PowerShell, Python, C#, OpenSource), with the ability to apply scripting skills to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
 - Certification in blithequark and/or competing Cloud Technologies, showcasing expertise in cloud computing and a commitment to ongoing learning.
 - A good understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows and/or Linux, with demonstrated hands-on experience in one or more of the following domains:
    
- Azure Core Platform: Compute, Storage, Networking
 - Website Apps: IIS, Azure Web Apps, PHP, Apache, Tomcat, WordPress, etc.
 - Identity and Authentication: SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD, etc.
