About the Role: Azure Customer Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Azure Customer Engineer to join our team at blithequark. As an Azure Customer Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Azure customers across various modalities as part of our global support delivery team. Your passion for cloud services and customer satisfaction will drive you to go technically deep across Azure services, seeking solutions to customer needs, and communicating trends to leadership. You will be the voice of the customer, connecting with Azure service teams to identify recurring issues and feature requests that drive product and supportability improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Azure customers across different modalities, ensuring timely and effective resolution of their queries and issues.
- Demonstrate technical depth across Azure services (at least level 200-300) and proactively seek solutions to customer needs, communicating trends and insights to leadership.
- Turn Azure customers into Azure fans by enhancing support efficiency through process and tool optimization.
- Foster close working relationships with teams related to assigned service areas to leverage expertise during escalations and drive product improvements.
- Develop and update Azure product documentation to facilitate customer success on Azure.
- Collaborate with feature engineering teams to report bugs, expedite bug fixes, and surface feature requests.

Qualifications and Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in the software industry related to technology or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, coupled with 2+ years of experience in the software industry related to technology or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year of customer-facing experience, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Experience with one or more automation languages such as PowerShell, Python, C#, or OpenSource technologies.
- Certification in blithequark and/or competing cloud technologies, demonstrating expertise and commitment to staying at the forefront of cloud computing.
- A good understanding of cloud computing technologies across Windows and/or Linux, with hands-on experience in domains such as:
- Azure Core Platform: Compute, Storage, Networking.
- Website Apps: IIS, Azure Web Apps, PHP, Apache, Tomcat, WordPress, etc.
- Identity and Authentication: SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD, etc.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year, with variations applicable to specific work locations such as the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, where the base pay range is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
