Job Overview
We are excited to offer an Accelerated Program Paid Training for Behavioral Technicians, providing a unique opportunity for individuals to launch their career in ABA therapy. As a Behavioral Technician, you will work closely with our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement personalized therapy plans, collect data, and provide one-on-one support to children with ASD. Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with ASD, implementing personalized treatment plans and collecting data on behavior and skill acquisition
- Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans under the guidance of a BCBA
- Collaborate with BCBAs to develop and implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
- Respond to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors, maintaining a high level of professionalism and compassion
- Arrive on time and be prepared for therapy sessions, demonstrating a commitment to delivering high-quality services
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or be working towards a degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology)
- Experience working with children in a 1:1 setting for at least 1 year
- 1-year experience in ABA or a related field (or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs and perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
- Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
- University Partnerships, Supervision, Practicum, and Mentoring experience
