Job Overview

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Student-Quality Engineering professional to join our team in Waterloo, IA. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in identifying issues and opportunities for improvement and propose effective resolutions
  • Gather, review, and analyze information to support department processes and drive decision-making
  • Produce a variety of correspondence and reports, including monthly reports and dashboards using tools like Excel, Business Objects, Tableau, and Power BI
  • Administer and maintain the Corrective Action System to ensure compliance and quality standards
  • Manage and maintain Quality SharePoint and associated websites to facilitate communication and collaboration

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should be pursuing a degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. You must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited college or university local to Waterloo, IA, with a graduation date of May 2025 or later and a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above. Availability to work 16-20 hours per week during the academic year and 35-40 hours per week during the summer semester is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word and Excel, is essential, and experience with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of experience with Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with Project Management processes, including establishing project scope, identifying resource needs, setting milestone dates, and tracking progress
  • Familiarity with quality engineering principles and practices

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
