Job Summary

We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Middle School English Language Arts Teacher to teach a range of English language arts courses to students in grades 6-8. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic achievement, creativity, and critical thinking. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English language arts, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and standards
• Teach a range of English language arts courses, including literature, composition, and grammar
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and administrators
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in English language arts education
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular progress reports, email, and parent-teacher conferences
• Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress, including grades, attendance, and disciplinary actions
• Participate in school-wide events and activities, including liturgies, assemblies, and parent-teacher organization meetings

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in English language arts or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a middle school setting
• Strong knowledge of English language arts curriculum and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Strong organizational and time management skills
