About the Role: Driving Compliance and Quality Care in Healthcare Facilities

As a Health Facility Surveyor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that healthcare facilities across the US comply with state and federal regulations. Your expertise will help drive quality care and improve patient outcomes, making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals nationwide. You'll have the flexibility to work on a part-time or full-time basis, with a competitive compensation package that reflects your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities: Conducting Surveys, Inspections, and Investigations

  • Travel to healthcare facility locations to conduct in-depth surveys and investigations, observing day-to-day operations and assessing the adequacy of care provided.
  • Conduct interviews with residents, patients, facility staff, clinical staff, and others to gather information and insights.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of surveyors when required, sharing findings and contributing to written reports on survey results.
  • Create detailed written reports on survey findings, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to legal matters, including written and verbal statements, and testimony regarding facility operations as needed.

Essential Qualifications: Expertise and Experience in Healthcare Survey and Compliance

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Prior experience working as a State or Federal Surveyor/Investigator within the past 3 years, with a valid Surveyor ID / FSID Number.
  • For nursing home surveyors, passing the State Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) is a requirement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent State and Federal agencies in a professional manner.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to your work.

Preferred Qualifications: Enhancing Your Application

While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your application:

  • RN/LPN license, demonstrating your expertise in healthcare and patient care.
  • Experience working in long-term care, home health, hospice, or other healthcare settings.
