About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our Google Cloud BI team on a full-time, remote basis. As a trusted advisor to our regional field teams, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining a unified reporting platform, driving business decisions through data analysis, and ensuring seamless data integration. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive reporting platform, ensuring global consistency in the reporting of Google Cloud success metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), LookML models, reports, and dashboards, driving new use cases and business growth
- Act as a trusted business advisor to regional field teams, providing data-driven insights and strategic guidance
- Design and implement data analysis tools that drive business decisions for Cloud BI outreach teams
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify their needs, build data models, and enable self-service analytics capabilities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clear communication and knowledge sharing across teams
- Identify and address potential data discrepancies, investigating customer errors and driving data quality improvements
- Contribute to best practices and code reviews related to data projects and initiatives
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A four-year degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- At least 4 years of experience in analysis, operations, management consulting, or a comparable industry/skillset
- Strong experience with cloud technologies, market dynamics, go-to-market strategies, SaaS, and usage business metrics
- Proficiency in SQL, LookML, and BigQuery, with a strong understanding of data analysis and visualization
Preferred Qualifications
To stand out as a candidate, you'll ideally have:
- Experience scaling BI/Looker solutions to diverse user bases
- In-depth knowledge of Looker as a data management tool, particularly the Access Control List (ACL) layer
- Familiarity with vector data structures (e.g., accounts, opportunities)
- The ability to write complex queries and optimize query performance
