Delivery Manager – Cloud & Custom Software (Remote | AWS Focus)

Overview We’re looking for a client-focused, outcome-driven Delivery Manager to lead impactful AWS cloud and custom software initiatives for small and mid-sized business clients. This is a strategic leadership role ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of delivery excellence, technical collaboration, and client engagement. You’ll work closely with a small team across the full customer lifecycle—from early discovery and presales through execution—driving successful outcomes, aligning teams around shared goals, and delivering measurable value with an outstanding client experience. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Execution • Lead the successful delivery of software development and AWS cloud transformation projects for SMB clients. • Own the project lifecycle from kickoff through deployment, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. • Guide cross-functional teams (developers, QA, business analysts, architects) and manage priorities, risks, and customer expectations. • Serve as the primary point of contact for project escalations and stakeholder communication. Business Analysis & Client Collaboration • Lead or facilitate discovery sessions to understand business objectives and technical requirements. • Collaborate with key business stakeholders and product owners to translate requirements into actionable delivery plans. • Ensure alignment between solution design and client needs throughout execution. • Maintain high standards of delivery quality, team accountability, and client communication throughout the engagement lifecycle. Presales & Growth Enablement • Partner with architects and executives to assist with shaping solutions and SOWs for new opportunities. • Provide delivery input for effort estimates, resourcing plans, and delivery timelines. • Participate in sales support activities including solution workshops, SOW development, and client presentations. • You’re not expected to lead sales—but your delivery expertise will inform successful proposals. Technical Collaboration & Influence • Provide strategic delivery oversight while contributing guidance in at least one technical domain: • AI/ML & Personalization (e.g., AWS AI services, recommendation engines) • DevOps & Platform Engineering (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability) • Application Modernization (microservices, re-architecture, containerization) • Solution Architecture (cloud patterns, system integration, scalability) • Collaborate closely with engineers and architects to ensure technical solutions are sound and aligned to goals. • Contribute to internal delivery frameworks, templates, and reusable assets. What Success Looks Like in the First 90–180 Days • Lead one or more active client engagements with strong delivery execution and stakeholder trust. • Drive measurable improvement in delivery cadence or team efficiency. • Contribute to or lead the development of a new SOW or solution proposal. • Build trust across the internal team and begin to influence best practices. Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in consulting, delivery management, or business analysis. • 3+ years in a leadership capacity managing cross-functional software/cloud teams. • Experience working in a professional services or consulting environment. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and modern delivery workflows. • Comfortable using project management and collaboration tools like Jira & Confluence. • Technical fluency in at least one domain relevant to the role (e.g., cloud, DevOps, AI/ML). • Experience with AWS or similar platforms preferred; AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) are a strong plus. • Understanding of cloud-native delivery models, infrastructure automation, or application modernization best practices is highly desirable.
