The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Cornell University is seeking a Temporary Graphic Designer to join the Marketing & Communications team to help strengthen and bring greater visibility to the CVM brand. In this role, you will report directly to the Assistant Dean of Marketing & Communications and help the team by: • Developing graphics and layouts and overseeing the production of materials requiring design skills, including but not limited to: booklets, presentations, brochures, flyers, posters, and advertisements. • Developing creative for and posting to digital displays, web home page rotations, other images, and web banners, with rapid turnarounds. • Developing and executing concepts for the design of interior spaces, such as rooms named after donors. • Branding and logo consultation and support for a broad range of internal clients, coordinating all branding recommendations with Cornell’s University Relations Brand Center. • Creating digital templates to be used across the college (web and email). This position offers the flexibility of being either fully remote or hybrid with some days on campus in Ithaca, NY. The length of the term for this position will be from Mid-January through the end of April 2023, with the potential for additional freelance work after April 2023. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field 1-3 years of graphic design experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Experience with using Adobe Creative Suite programs, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere. • Demonstrated ability to apply creative design principles in producing engaging content (both writing and multimedia) As part of the university's , all Cornell employees are required to have and provide proof of an FDA-or WHO-authorized or approved COVID-19 primary vaccination or have obtained a university-approved disability/medical or religious exemption, regardless of their role and work location.
