About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry and Payroll Specialist to play a critical role in maintaining and updating our database with precision and attention to detail. As a key member of our APAC payroll team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of employee net pay, compliance with relevant guidelines, and providing outstanding employee support on their queries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll processing for assigned APAC countries using a third-party payroll provider
  • Weekly expenses processed in-house through Workday host-to-host payment
  • Prepare and post payroll changes, new hires, and leavers for each entity to the payroll services timely through Workday HCM
  • Responsible for reporting new hires/leavers' files to the payroll provider in a timely manner, ensuring all new hire paperwork complies
  • Validation of payroll input against payroll check-in and coordination with payroll carriers for required changes/corrections
  • Coordinate with payroll companies on timely payout to personnel and statutory payments
  • Perform tasks associated with monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll reporting and taxation
  • Point of contact for employees on payroll questions through the Zendesk ticketing system
  • Record and monitor monthly payroll cost and raise purchase orders
  • Report and monitor payroll services' settlement renewal date
  • Work with Philippines and Singapore team members and follow global system alignment

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in payroll and accounting processing in a BPO or shared services environment
  • Experience running in APAC payroll, with a focus on countries like Korea, Australia, and India
  • Remarkable knowledge of payroll and associated statutory labor laws required for payroll-related calculations
  • Above-average use of Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Microsoft Excel and Word, and Workday
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, having the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience working with global payroll systems and processes
  • Knowledge of Workday HCM and other payroll-related software
  • Familiarity with labor laws and regulations in multiple countries
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
