Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction:
	
- Greet patients upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.
 - Answer phones, schedule appointments, and confirm patient information.
 - Address patient inquiries and concerns, either in person or over the phone.
 
 - Patient Check-in & Check-out:
	
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance details.
 - Collect patient co-pays and process payments as required.
 - Ensure accurate completion of patient intake forms.
 
 - Appointment Scheduling:
	
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients, ensuring accurate and timely bookings.
 - Coordinate with medical providers to ensure smooth appointment flow.
 
 - Administrative Support:
	
- Maintain organized filing systems for patient records and documents.
 - Manage office supplies and reorder as necessary.
 - Assist with administrative duties such as faxing, photocopying, and scanning documents.
 
 - Insurance Verification:
	
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with the submission of insurance claims.
 - Ensure all necessary documentation is provided to insurance companies for reimbursement.
 
 
Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Patient Care:
	
- Prepare patients for examination by obtaining vital signs (e.g., temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate).
 - Assist in the collection of patient histories and ensure the information is documented accurately.
 
 - Clinical Assistance:
	
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures by providing instruments, supplies, and support.
 - Administer basic medical treatments (e.g., injections, wound care, specimen collection).
 - Prepare and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms to ensure a clean, safe environment.
 
 - Documentation & Patient Records:
	
- Accurately record patient information, including medical history and clinical findings, in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
 - Document patient care provided and update charts as directed by the physician.
 
 - Lab Work & Testing:
	
- Prepare and process lab specimens for testing (e.g., blood, urine, swabs).
 - Assist with diagnostic tests, such as EKGs, X-rays, or imaging as required.
 
 - Patient Education:
	
- Provide basic health education and instructions to patients, including post-procedure care or medication instructions.
 - Ensure patients understand pre-appointment and post-appointment instructions.
 
 
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred.
 - Experience:
	
- Previous experience in a front desk or medical office environment is needed.
 - Experience as a Medical Assistant (1-2 years) preferred.
 
 - Skills:
	
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
 - Excellent customer service skills and a compassionate demeanor.
 - Ability to multitask and handle a busy work environment.
 - Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures.
