Job Summary

As a Field Engineer - Entry Level, you'll perform customer-facing field calibrations on a variety of test equipment across disciplines, including dimensional, electrical, mechanical, and force. You'll travel to customer factories and laboratories, engaging with customers and equipment across industries such as aerospace, automotive, biotech, commercial electrical, medical device, pharmaceutical, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform field calibrations on various test equipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Travel to customer sites, interacting with customers and equipment across multiple industries
  • Lead the full calibration process, including job planning, execution, and documentation
  • Coordinate with customer contacts to calibrate equipment without disrupting production operations
  • Create detailed reports on services performed and document results using internally developed software systems
  • Adapt to changes, ensuring optimal outcomes while adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Collaborate with the Metrology department to support calibration efforts and enhance technical knowledge

Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, or a related field
  • 3.0 GPA or higher (indicate on resume)

Work Experience:

  • Prior internship or work experience, especially related to data entry, calibration, machining, QC, engineering, and/or science, is strongly valued
  • Experience working with customers is preferred but not required

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a drug test, background check, skills test, and eye exam, including the ability to differentiate colors effectively
  • Available to work varied daytime hours Monday-Friday, some weekends, and infrequent but occasional overnight travel
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Reliable and suitable vehicle for traveling to onsite jobs with equipment (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a natural appreciation for well-engineered solutions
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changes in schedules, customer requirements, equipment lists, etc.
  • Positive, productive, and professional attitude with an entrepreneurial spirit and team-focused mentality

Compensation and Perks

We offer a competitive salary range of $38-$42/hr, with an anticipated annual salary of ~$92,000-$110,000, including some overtime. Additional perks include:
