Key Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer with Workwarp, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing detailed electrical power systems design for water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Conducting load calculations, detailed conduit routing, motor control center and switchgear design, and specification generation
  • Providing field investigative and start-up support to ensure successful project implementation
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that electrical designs meet project requirements and are integrated with other systems
  • Ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA 820, and NESC standards, as well as other relevant industry regulations
  • Working with minimal supervision by a Senior Level Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality results and meet project deadlines

Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license, which is required for this position
  • 6 to 12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering for Mid-Level positions, or 10-15 years of experience for Senior Level positions
  • Familiarity with power system applications, including calculation of available short circuit current, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and power factor
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, as well as experience with AutoCAD and other relevant software
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and collaborate with team members
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting, with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results

Additional Skills and Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience with industrial or large commercial backgrounds, which can be an asset in this role
  • Familiarity with IEEE color book series, which can be beneficial for this position
  • Experience with other relevant software and technologies, such as programming languages or data analysis tools
