About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our team. As a CSR, you will play a vital role in providing prompt, accurate, and professional service to our internal and external customers. Your responsibilities will include handling complex customer situations, assisting with special projects, and maintaining accurate customer records. Key Responsibilities:

  • Review applications, collect deposits, process credits/miscellaneous charges, code accounts, and track new services.
  • Assist at our walk-in site as needed and provide support for more difficult customer issues.
  • Offer assistance to field personnel, field managers, and other departments as required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
  • Schedule and follow up on payment arrangements for delinquent accounts and coordinate disconnections for non-payment and schedule re-connects.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with customers in a fast-paced environment, developing positive customer relations and anticipating, identifying, and responding to customer needs.

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and accounting or billing software.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Call Center or Customer Service environment.
  • Experience with electronic data storage processes.
  • A valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are considered assets for this position:

  • Previous experience in a utility or similar industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory rules and compliance standards.
  • Experience with customer service software and technology.
