About the Role: Disney Parks Writer/Reporter/YouTube Presenter

As a Disney Parks Writer/Reporter/YouTube Presenter, you will be working with a virtual newsroom where flexibility is key. You must be reliably available to go into the Disney World parks and resorts as needed and provide quick turnaround. You will be creating written, photographic, social media, and video content of all types, both as part of a team and solo. You will also be doing food reviews, and awareness of your audience will be critical. You must have the ability to produce large amounts of content quickly while maintaining high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of company values and personality, and effectively represent our brands on YouTube and in consumer-facing media channels.
• Develop and produce Disney- and travel-themed content (written articles, photography, and videos).
• Identify and create informative and entertaining stories in the theme park and travel spheres.
• Be able to quickly create content – written content, social media posts, and short-form video – to disseminate stories.
• Work closely with other Orlando-based and global team members, collaborating on content production.
• Identify opportunities to improve the production process, and expand the reach of our video content.
• Plan, participate in, and host shows.
• Write and sometimes memorize scripts.
• Ability to improvise with fun and humor that's on-brand and family-friendly.

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, as well as team-working skills.
• Confidence and charisma on camera, with performance skills and a clear voice.
• The ability to generate original ideas as well as identify informative and entertaining stories.
• A true love for and deep knowledge of Disney Theme Parks and travel in general.
• Good research and interviewing skills.
• The confidence and the ability to sell yourself.
• Excellent writing skills (journalism and non-fiction required).
• Excellent photography and videography skills.
• The ability to take initiative and make quick decisions under pressure.
• Creativity and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of video production and editing software.
• Experience with social media management and content creation.
• A portfolio of previous work, including writing samples, photos, and videos.
