About the Role: Co-op Airport Customer Service (ACS) Ground Safety

As a Co-op Airport Customer Service (ACS) Ground Safety team member, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization. You'll work closely with our frontline agents, technology teams, and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement data-driven solutions that reduce the risk of employee injuries and aircraft damages. Your primary focus will be on adapting our infrastructure, technology, and job processes to create a safer, healthier work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fostering a Safety-Conscious Culture: Provide support, training, accountability, and recognition to promote a culture where safety is a core value.
  • Ergonomics and Health and Wellness: Support the development and implementation of strategies to reduce the risk of employee injuries and aircraft damages, and lead ergonomic-related investigations across the system.
  • Project Management: Ensure accurate project plans, investigations, and close-out of safety improvement initiatives are managed effectively using project management tools.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Use data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) to digest and interpret injury and behavior data, draw recommendations, and support actions to improve safety behaviors.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Support communications strategy for stakeholder groups, collect and organize feedback and action items, and provide regular updates to stakeholders, sponsors, and others involved in the project.
  • Problem-Solving and Escalation: Escalate problems as necessary to ensure awareness and assistance with resolution, and practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

What You Need to Succeed: Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Aerospace/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Occupational/Industrial Safety, or Biomechanics/Kinesiology.
  • Strong analytical and written/oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • The ability to learn, interpret, and follow a variety of laws, rules, and regulations, and work in a time-sensitive environment with minimal supervision.
  • A strong history of collaboration, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency, and authorization to work in the United States.
