About the Role: Supporting the Future of Veterinary Care
As a Chat Support Associate at Vetcove, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring a positive and delightful experience for our community of over 17,000 veterinary hospitals and tens of thousands of veterinarians across the United States. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our users, providing timely and effective support through live chats, phone calls, emails, and internal discussion boards.
Key Responsibilities: Delivering Exceptional Support
- Respond to user inquiries via live chat, email, and phone in a timely and professional manner, providing solutions and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Handle various daily and weekly admin responsibilities, such as proactive account management, item issue reports, item reviews, credit approvals, and more.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, partner, and corporate teams, to provide feedback on feature requests and recommendations for enhancements to our tools.
- Work with vendor and industry partners to streamline communication and alerts between systems, ensuring seamless integration and support.
- Continuously develop and expand processes to streamline support workflows, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Essential Qualifications: The Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 1 year of relevant, customer-facing work experience, preferably in a chat support or similar role.
- A 2-year Associate's Degree or 4-year College Degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Patience and compassion when handling difficult situations, with a strong desire to learn and help our customers succeed.
- A positive attitude and one-for-all team mentality, with excellent collaboration skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly and manage many concurrent responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience and Skills That Set You Apart
While not required, the following experience and skills can give you a competitive edge:
- Experience with chat platforms, such as Intercom, and a strong understanding of customer support best practices.
- Tech/start-up work experience, with a familiarity of the agile development process and collaborative work environments.
- A background in the animal health industry or a related field, with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing veterinary professionals.
