Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Driver Helper to join our team and assist our CDL Drivers with loading, unloading, and delivering product to customer locations on designated routes. As a Driver Helper, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that our products are delivered efficiently and effectively, while also providing exceptional customer service and merchandising our products in stores. Key Responsibilities
- Travel with a Driver throughout the day to deliver, fill, merchandise, and rotate products at customer accounts
- Merchandise, display, and rotate products according to company standards, ensuring that products are properly stocked and displayed
- Pick up company property and returns, and reload truck with customer returns, empty shells, and pallets
- Provide superior customer service and foster relationships with store management and personnel, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including delivery records, inventory levels, and customer interactions
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to improve knowledge and skills, and stay up-to-date on company policies and procedures
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; 1+ years of experience working in grocery, retail, consumer goods, warehousing, or a related field preferred
- Minimum 6 months of general work experience required; experience working with manual or powered pallet jacks preferred
- Must have the ability to repetitively lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach
- Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, drivers, and other stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a beverage distribution environment, or with a similar product line
- Experience with inventory management, merchandising, or sales
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Ability to work in a team environment, and collaborate with others to achieve business objectives
