Job Summary

As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the productive day-to-day working of Amazon's physical office space and facilities, and hybrid workspace. You will be the key point of contact for all office and building matters, including maintenance issues, repairs, and procurement. You will also oversee IT infrastructure and implementation, supporting legitimate compliance and acquisition. You will work closely with the Agent Manager and HR Sr. Manager as part of the Operations team to manage, maintain, and refine internal system functionalities, including organizational goal achievement, extensive data innovation (IT), internal operations projects, and overall office management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including responding to and monitoring emails, welcoming guests, opening and distributing mail, handling office requests, preparing bank deposits, and coordinating weekly bank outings to deliver deposits.
  • Work on universal maintenance, upgrades, and space planning to ensure optimal adequacy of the office. Act as the primary contact for all office and building matters, including maintenance issues, repairs, and procurement.
  • Act as the primary manager for all common systems, including shared contacts, distribution records, cloud-based platforms, and connected written policies.
  • Oversee IT needs of the organization, including troubleshooting and communication with IT vendors for network support; ensuring IT meets industry standards; managing hardware and software needs, including installation; and evaluating technology initiatives according to established goals.
  • Provide operational guidance to all new employees, including employee introductions, office tours, technology onboarding, sharing of systems and practices, and a review of Amazon's office operations to support a welcoming onboarding process.
  • Work with and offer logistical support for internal staff events, including the monthly Amazon Workforce meeting and weekly stand-up meetings, and provide backup technical and strategic support for external events, meetings, and webinars as needed.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information, both internally and externally.
  • Work closely with the Agent Manager on Amazon's risk management and compliance.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations management or a related field.
  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with change management, new software implementation, and systems development, execution, and maintenance.
  • Experience managing a small to medium-sized business IT environment.
  • Formal project management training.
